In our manufacture of pallets and timber from softwood, we generate softwood wood scraps that we cut to the right size to be put on fire in boilers, tile stoves etc. and we pack it in standard firewood pallets of 1x1x1.8 m3.
The main softwood species that we process and generate wood scraps are: fir, spruce, pine and douglas.
Softwood firewood pallets have 1 m3 of wood. Green (freshly cut) this wood scraps has on an average around 800 kg/m3 and dry, it can reach on an average 650 kg/m3.
Softwood wood scraps is mainly used to light fires, but in many cases, as raw firewood.
A great advantage of softwood wood scraps is that it is thinner and it will dry quickly.
We deliver softwood wood scraps throughout the country on normal lorries (prime mover and semi-trailer with tarpaulin, 13.6 ml.), provided that, when a transport is desired, at least one full lorry is ordered, i.e. 24 pallets (or cubic meters). For deliveries to individuals, apart from the minimum quantity per order, a forklift must be provided for unloading or at least 5 people for manual unloading when the lorry arrives. There must be access for lorries down to the unloading destination and there should be no road restrictions under 22 t down to the unloading destination (in some localities, a local tax must be paid if a certain number of tons is exceeded).
